Program Overview | Spring Equinox 2024
Join us from April 8th to 21th

Early spring and early autumn are traditionally regarded in Ayurveda as auspicious times for purification and self-care practices promoting rejuvenation of the body and supporting clarity to the mind.

An Ayurvedic Cleanse is all about making space to slow down, becoming aware of our state of wellness, and realigning with the seasonal rhythms of Nature. It is also about connecting with your food choices, understanding what is good or not for us, and adjusting our routines to make space for self-care and relaxation, so we can check if our reality is in alignment with our hopes, goals, and purpose.

During these 14 days together, we will eliminate a few things from our diets and routine, giving our bodies an opportunity to rest and reset. We will understand what to eat and how to prepare simple meals that support our digestive fire (agni/metabolism) and allow our bodies to properly eliminate toxins (ama).

We, Thais and Carol, will be guiding you from beginning to end with daily support, carefully curated information, and lots of recipes and resources. Although in group, we will be providing tailored guidance to meet the level of practice of each participant.

PHASE ONE

Simplify and prepare

5 days. During this phase you will learn how to progressively eliminate a few things from your diet – sugar, alcohol, coffee, processed foods, meat, etc. – while introducing some self-care routines. You will become familiar with the ingredients and spices used to prepare the recipes on our resource files, and learn how to add certain herbs and supplements if desired. We will also teach you some breathing techniques and relaxating yoga practices.

PHASE TWO

Purify and rest

4 days*. This phase is the actual detox phase and where we will be focusing on having three plant based, easy to digest, purifying and healing meals enriched with specific healing synergies of spices. Here the focus is in eliminating toxins from the tissues of the body while enkindling the digestive fire (agni).

*If needed or desired, this phase can be shortened to 1 day or lengthen to 5 days depending on your practice level, goals, and schedule.

PHASE THREE

Nourish and renew

5 days. Now let's design the body-mind we want. Our bodies are clean, ready to be nourished and nurtured. The purpose of an Ayurvedic cleanse is to prepare for rejuvenation (rasayana) and in this phase we teach how to build vitality (ojas) and to achieve equanimity through promoting calm states of mind (sattvas). We will introduce nutrient rich foods that will deeply nourish and rejuvenate the tissues. At the end of the program, we know how to integrate all the tools learned so far and how use them for life!

Planning, Pricing, and Registration

Sunday, April 7th:

Release of our Spring Renewal ebook with the instructions and recipes you will need for the cleanse. In this day we will also be connecting and hosting our opening call on Zoom and opening the members area where partici will find additional videos, downloadable pdfs and a carefully curated collection of supportive learning materials.

Monday, April 8th: Phase One starts (and lasts until Friday, April 12th)

Step-by-step guidance and support as we progressively eliminate certain foods and add self-care routines to our days. We will also share some basic concepts of Ayurveda and how we can use this cleanse to align ourselves with the rhythm of the Season preparing our bodies for the deep cleanse in Phase Two, and for the nourishment and rejuvenation (rasayana) in Phase Three.

Saturday, April 13th: Phase Two starts (and lasts 1 to 4 days)

Starting where you are! Together we will access your individual reality and goals to determine how gently or deeply you can embrace Phase Two. This phase can be as simple as a few days adopting a 3-meals per day vegetarian diet, or a more intense mono-diet of kitchari, eventually involving intermittent fasting and intake of ghee (for seasoned cleansers). Each participant will have the opportunity to understand all steps and levels of intensity, and decide how to proceed through each step. This phase prepares the body for the nourishment and rejuvenation (rasayana) of Phase Three.

From March 14th/16th until the 21st: Phase Three — Rejuvenation (Rasayana)

In this phase we will gently focus on identifying habits that we are ready to let go and some that will be gently reintroduced after the cleansing phase. With the awareness acquired from this experience, we can now design our diet and lifestyle in order to promote ojas (vitality) and sattvas (a calm state of mind). You'll continue to have our WhatsApp group support until March 29th.
